I Wonder if Waves Feel a Sense of Kinship According to How They Were Formed
The first poem I wrote in 2024 was a confluence of conversations. Written foremost in dialogue with Dionne Lee’s then-in-progress video installation, Site Unfolding, the resulting Cento “I Wonder if Waves Feel a Sense of Kinship According to How They were Formed,” uses lines relating to water from books of poetry written by contemporary poets in and about the United States South West. The poem was presented alongside the exhibition in February/March 2024.
